National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, commonly referred to as National University of Uzbekistan, is a public research university in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Established in 1918 as Turkestan People's University, it is the oldest institution of higher education in Uzbekistan.
